Scenes From The City #3

The Nation's Capital. So much to see, so much to do. Well worth the trip.

Taking a breather near the reflecting pool.

The book of names at the Vietnam War Memorial.

Checkmate? DuPont Circle.

Few things better than this greasy diner burger!

  1. Mike,

Very nice series here, I think I mentioned that via email.

    How is Lr3 progress?

I was spending a lot of time in the woods with my Nikon during Fourth Season and thought about your DSLR wish list. An almost silent shutter mechanism would be amazing, ie. old Leica technology. In the dead calm of the forest, every click of the shutter seemed to ring out...not ideal for any hunting situation.

Some R&D on the part of Nikon could easily minimize this, and I think that the new D7000 boasts a quieter mechanism-if I remember correctly.

    Cheers, Jeremy

  2. Thanks Jer.

LR3 is coming along. They have so many tutorials... I'm taking my time. But mainly, I've got the basics down pat. Saw that it was season 4 over at your site. Enjoying the story. Tell your Granddad I'll take two filets and a pound of elk-burger! haha!
